Background

Ayah was born in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, & Virginia). Growing up, she was accustomed to moving from Washington DC to Maryland and back. She grew up in a household of three siblings and a single mother. Ayah and family had then moved to Charlotte, NC when she was at the age of twelve.

Her influence to do music had come to her from her older brother "Marty Mcmillian". He'd always
ask her to record with him when he would create his own records (music) in his bedroom. Eventually she would create her own lane in music; writing raps to express how she was feeling as it had pertained to her life experiences.
She believed that rapping was a form of therapy for her.

Ayah had first began rapping in talent shows with a rap group for a while along with her best friend. They would frequently attend events, teen clubs, and anything to get themselves discovered as rap artists. Ayah then began her solo journey as a rap artist at the age of 18 while beginning her spiritual journey once she'd lost her brother "Marty Mcmillian" due to Gun Violence. This was the spiritual awakening that transformed her and influenced Ayah to become more of a healing music artist.

Music Quotes
At the risk of being a fuddy-duddy I don't have a computer; I don't have e-mail; and I really don't need something in my house that I would be sitting in front of for hours.
